FlexShare, a new standard feature of the Data ONTAP 7G operating system, ensures that critical workloads get priority service and consistent performance when the storage controller is operating at maximum load. When workload priorities change, FlexShare settings can be updated and in effect immediately.
The FAS6080 scales to 1176 drives, offering 1176 terabytes of capacity per system. The model have extensive onboard Fibre Channel (FC) and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, which can be augmented using embedded PCI Express (PCIe) and PCI-X expansion slots, and integrated remote LAN management.
