The energy saving storage devices can be scaled from 600 GB to 24 TB directly SAS attached to up to 4 servers or connected to up to 64 servers in Fibre Channel or iSCSI networks. They are equipped with all state-of-the-art capacities of SAS and Nearline SAS Drives. An alternative FC-attached base unit supports 2.5” SAS drives to realize high density and further minimize energy-consumption.
Optional FC high-speed connections at 8 Gigabit per second as well as bigger cache and higher snapshot limits meet the requirements for data center operations. Besides all features of ETERNUS DX60, these systems support Solid State Drive technology, can connect up to 128 network attached servers and scale from 600 GB to 120 TB.
With 4 host ports per Fibre Channel controller, these systems connect up to 256 servers in dual controller configurations. In addition to the features of the ETERNUS DX80 FC-attached model, this allows asynchronous and synchronous storage-based remote replication for business continuity.
