Adrian v. Hammerstein, who is leaving on to Siemens Business

Munich/Germany, June 16, 2004 —Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the leading European IT provider
today announced the appointment of Bernd Bischoff as new President
& CEO of the company as of July 1, 2004. Bernd Bischoff is at
present Executive Vice President (EVP) of Sales, Marketing &
Customer Services at Fujitsu Siemens Computers. He replaces Adrian
v. Hammerstein, who will take on a new challenge as head of Siemens
Business Services also as of July 1, 2004.
Bernd joined the company three years ago as Executive Vice
President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Services. In this
position, he has successfully led the realignment of the sales
organization along customer segments, the implementation of a
channel-centric sales model, the rebuilding of the marketing
organization, and the ongoing development of the company’s
service capabilities.
Bernd Bischoff can build on a strong and stable management
team and a successful strategic direction. While the IT market
remains difficult, the company is well positioned to compete in
this market. In the last fiscal year, running from April 2003 to
March 2004, the company delivered a revenue of €5,288 million
and a profit before tax of €62 million.
Under the leadership of Bernd Bischoff Fujitsu Siemens
Computers will continue to focus on Mobility and Business Critical
Computing and will continue to grow business Europe-wide.
Bernd Bischoff comments: “We have already achieved a
lot over the last few years under Adrian’s leadership and we
have an excellent basis for future growth. I will continue to focus
on this, together with the Management Team, our employees and our

Adrian v. Hammerstein has been with Fujitsu Siemens Computers
since the establishment of the company in 1999, first as Chief
Financial Officer and then as President & CEO. During this
time, the company has made major progress in terms of strategic
direction, operational excellence, financial performance and market
reputation. Adrian will continue to remain closely associated with
Fujitsu Siemens Computers as a member of its Board of Directors.
