AMILO Pro V7010 notebook made for SMEs
Munich, September 07, 2004 —This is the product that small and medium-sized enterprises
have been waiting for: an attractively priced brand name notebook
capable of meeting all the key requirements for professional use,
available over long lifecycles and freely configurable to comply
with company-specific requirements. To meet this challenge, Fujitsu
Siemens Computers is offering the AMILO Pro V7010 notebook, which
can be ordered immediately from retail outlets.
A SME customer survey* carried out by Fujitsu Siemens
Computers and finalized in March 2004 showed that small and
medium-sized enterprises are increasingly looking for mobile
solutions for their employees, to enable them to access company
data wherever they happen to be and whenever they want. Another
finding revealed by the survey was that medium-sized customers were
particularly interested in products that are both modern and
powerful – with high reliability but without special
features. Impressive design was likewise considered important. To
meet these demands, Fujitsu Siemens Computers has come up with the
AMILO Pro V7010 as an entry-level notebook.
The AMILO Pro V7010 combines mobility with an attractive
ergonomic design. Cutting-edge Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4
Processors with Hyper-Threading Technology ensure high performance
levels that are comparable to standard desktop PCs. Customers can
also opt vor a model with Intel® Celeron® D Processor.
The optionally integrated PRISM GT Wireless LAN chipset supports
mobile, cableless operation to give users more freedom of movement.
While there are several interfaces for communication and for the
connection of computer peripherals that can be extended even
further using an optional Port Replicator. Other highlights include
4 programmable quick-touch buttons for fast and simple access to
applications, and a 3 in 1 card reader which is compatible with
multimedia, SD and memory stick cards.
Storage space can be expanded up to 2048 MB DDR SDRAM to
enable ‘road warriors’ to store important documents.
The ATI Mobility RADEON 9100 IGP has a fast integrated graphic
processor to maintain the highest levels of performance. When
combined with up to 128 MB of video memory it means that the AMILO
Pro V7010 can be a powerful aid to produce the most visual
presentations for customers.
The product's long lifecycles satisfy one of the main
demands of business customers, thereby safeguarding rollout to the
individual employees within the company in the long term. The
manageability software supplied with delivery simplifies
administration in the corporate network, thus making day-to-day
work easier for the system administrator and helping cut the total
cost of ownership (TCO).
