Fujitsu Siemens Computers Reports Higher Than Expected
First-Half Profit Before Tax
Profit Before Tax (PBT) Tops 80 Percent Growth

Munich/Germany, November 10, 2004 —Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the leading European IT company,
today announced an upward revision in profit before tax (PBT) to
€ 20.4 million for the first-half of fiscal year 2004. The
company achieved an overall growth in PBT of 80 percent
year-on-year. Revenue remained as previously reported at €
2,560 million or a year-on-year growth of 15 percent. The
first-half of the 2004/2005 fiscal year runs from April 2004
through September 2004.

pushing boxes out to the customer, but providing them with
solutions that enable them to directly add to the bottom line
either through reduced TCO or in increased productivity. Through
innovative solutions like FlexFrame, easyXchange and CentricStor,
we have proven that we are capable of helping the CIO to do just
this.”
Outlook: profitable performance
For the remainder of the fiscal year, Fujitsu Siemens
Computers targets include: 5 percent revenue growth (at current
exchange rates) and to continue to outgrow the market by 5 percent
for the full fiscal year. The company’s primary growth areas
are defined as: Mobiles, servers, and supporting services.
