SCALEO C wins coveted Green Button Award
Milan/Italy, December 23, 2004 —Fujitsu Siemens Computers has received the coveted Green
Button Award for its SCALEO C Windows Media Center PC. The award,
in the category for products offering the best value for the price,
was presented by Microsoft® at Futurshow 3004, a technology
fair that took place last month in Milan, Italy. The winning SCALEO
C will be exhibited at the Microsoft House, a showcase of future
technologies at the company's Redmond campus outside Seattle.
The SCALEO C brings together a powerful and reliable PC with
an attractive and user-friendly multimedia device featuring a
compact stereo system (including radio, CD and MP3 player). The
Green Button Award was the second honor in less than a month for
the SCALEO C after it was chosen for a Crystal Disc competition
prize at the Invex IT fair in October.
In Milan, the SCALEO C Windows Media Center PC from Fujitsu
Siemens Computers captured the top award among 27 vendors.
Initially, a jury from Microsoft evaluated the various multimedia
devices and their features from a technical standpoint, looking at
factors such as design, performance, value and innovation. The
second stage of the judging was conducted by a group of leading
design and technology experts.
Crystal Disc for SCALEO C
At the 2004 Invex IT fair, an annual international
information and communication technology exhibition and leading
regional event hosted by the Czech city of Brno, the SCALEO C was
awarded the Crystal Disc prize in the home, entertainment and
education technology category. The Crystal Disc competition is one
of the most important in the ICT sector, and interest has increased
considerably, with 70 percent more products entered in the
competition than in 2003. This year, Invex attracted some 130,000
visitors to see almost 600 exhibitors from around the world.
