Fujitsu Siemens Computers continues to demonstrate high
growth in strategic areas: Mobility and Business Critical
Computing
Outpaced the market and competition with 62.6* percent yearly
market growth in Mobiles
Munich/Germany, January 25, 2005 —Fujitsu Siemens Computers continues to outpace the market and
competitors in mobile growth across the Europe, Middle East and
Africa (EMEA) region. The company topped the IDC analyst
preliminary results charts with an overall yearly growth for the
calendar year 2004 of 62.6* percent in mobility. In the overall
form factor space for the calendar year 2004 result was also ahead
of the market with a growth of 23.3* percent in comparison to the
overall market of 18.9* percent.
In the fourth quarter of 2004 Fujitsu Siemens Computers was
able to almost double the market growth rates for both x86 server
and mobiles. The company recorded the highest growth rate across
all competitors in the X86 server space achieving 25.6 percent
growth on top of a market which grew 14.5 percent. Mobile growth
for the fourth quarter of 2004 was 60.6 percent – a tie for
the first place- against a market of 34.6 percent.

Fujitsu Siemens Computers achieved growth above market
average for total PCs (desktops and mobiles) in following
countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark,
Finland, Germany retaining the number 1 position, Greece, Hungary,
Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Saudi
Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia and South Africa*.
