PRIMERGY TX150 S3: enhanced performance, reliability and
extendibility
Fujitsu Siemens Computers unveils new generation Intel-based
mono processor tower server for SMEs and corporate branch
offices
Munich/Germany, January 28, 2005 —Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the leading European IT provider,
today introduced the PRIMERGY TX150 S3, a new mono processor tower
server designed for small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well
as the branch offices of larger companies. Based on Intel’s
latest Pentium and Celeron technology, this entry-level server
offers the performance necessary for a variety of functions,
including print, file and Web server applications. With advanced
PC3200 DDR1 SDRAM memory technology, the new model is remarkably
dependable. The choice between U320 SCSI and SATA hard disk drive
technology, and six PCI slots and the optional hot-plug redundant
power supply make it the most expandable mono processor server on
the market. The new PRIMERGY TX150 S3 is now available for prices
starting at € 1125,- (e.g. Germany, without tax).
The utmost flexibility for SMEs
At SMEs, it is crucial to have systems flexible enough to
meet the changing requirements of an expanding business. End-user
research conducted by Fujitsu Siemens Computers in countries like
UK and Germany also revealed that investment protection was among
the key buying criteria at these companies. Accordingly, the
PRIMERGY TX150 S3 has been equipped with only the finest in
expandability features.
The new mono processor tower server is also designed for
corporate branch offices, where it is ideal for use as a file and
print server, Web server, communications server for gateways,
domains and firewalls, or even as the central office server. It
offers comprehensive features for information transfer (including
e-mails, bulletin boards, workflow and groupware applications) when
utilized in combination with the Microsoft Exchange Server
communications platform.
PRIMERGY TX Series: innovative, award-winning towers
With their proven data center technology, PRIMERGY TX tower
servers ensure continuous and carefree operation. They were even
honored with industry design awards in 2003 and 2004 for being so
user-friendly and simple to manage. The latest generation processor
and innovative “cool-safe” air flow cooling technology
guarantee a long operating life and, together with unsurpassed
expansion flexibility, the best possible performance.
