The company also expects to achieve the following revenue growth rates year-on-year for products and services for fiscal year 2004: product related services 32 percent, industry standard server line PRIMERGY 18 percent. Expected revenue growth by region includes: Eastern Europe 58 percent; UK and Ireland 34 percent; Middle East and Africa 32 percent; Italy 27 percent; and Germany, where the company already holds the market leadership position, expects an impressive 9 percent growth in revenue.

In the second half of fiscal year 2004, the company expects to record a revenue increase of 13 percent with €3.44 billion in revenue and a profit before tax of €74 million (forecast) which is €24 million or 46 percent better than the previous year.

“This fiscal year we will achieve revenue of around €6 billion which shows the highest revenue as well as the highest revenue growth we have ever reported,” said Bernd Bischoff President and CEO of Fujitsu Siemens Computers. “We also expect to grow profit before tax by 51 percent. This demonstrates that customers across EMEA are deploying our products and solutions as part of their own strategy for growth.”

Outlook: Continued performance ahead of market
The company will continue to develop resources to help customers innovate through its focus on two key strategic areas: Mobility and Business Critical Computing (BCC). For the upcoming fiscal year, Fujitsu Siemens Computers will continue to target a five percent revenue growth ahead of the market (at current exchange rates). The company’s primary growth areas are defined as Products and solutions that comprise the Dynamic Data Center including servers and storage as well as supporting services and mobility products to enable the mobile workforce.

Fiscal year 2005: The Dynamic Data Center
In a Dynamic Data Center, all hardware resources for computing and storage are pooled where they can be used on-demand. When a change in users, capacity or requirements appears to the system, actions are triggered automatically, dynamically providing the needed resource. Under the TRIOLE™ strategy for optimized IT by Fujitsu, Fujitsu Siemens Computers has, together with its partners, developed first products and solutions that serve as building blocks towards a Dynamic Data Center. As part of the TRIOLE strategy, Fujitsu Siemens Computers makes sure that the building blocks are seamlessly integrated into existing IT infrastructures to form the cornerstone of tomorrows Dynamic Data Center.

“While a complete Dynamic Data Center is still a vision, Fujitsu Siemens Computers is the only major IT company providing first implementations available to customers now,” said Bernd Bischoff. “Our approach with the dynamic data center is to enable our customers to gain experience step-by-step today for tomorrow’s infrastructures.”
