Fujitsu Siemens Computers strengthens portfolio with SBS
Product Related Services
Fujitsu Siemens Computers (Holding BV) will form a new unit
to focus on industry-leading platform solutions for the
international market
MUNICH, December 21, 2005 —Fujitsu Siemens Computers BV, announces that it has reached
an agreement with shareholders Siemens AG and Fujitsu Limited to
acquire the international Product Related Services Division of
Siemens Business Services as of April 1, 2006*. Customers will
benefit from Fujitsu Siemens Computers’ increased ability to
consult, design, implement and service from one source for industry
growth segments: Dynamic Data Center and Mobility. The addition of
PRS capabilities is designed to increase profitability by
strengthening the company’s product related service portfolio
and solution implementation.
SBS Product Related Services (PRS) consists of approximately
5,000 employees in 28 countries with revenue of approximately 1.3
billion Euros for the fiscal year 2005. The group’s portfolio
focuses on bringing platform-independent services and IT
infrastructures with solutions that address high-availability,
consolidation, migration and life-cycle management. SBS Product
Related Services is the sixth-largest IT service Company worldwide
and the second largest provider in Germany.

The acquired Product Related Services of SBS will operate as
a separate subsidiary. Both the existing platform and the Product
Related Service business will report into Fujitsu Siemens Computers
BV (Holding Company). Fujitsu Siemens Computers will continue to be
a 50:50 joint venture of Fujitsu Limited and Siemens AG.
The new Product Related Services business will be headed by
Neil Allpress, currently Senior Vice President SBS Product Related
Services. Richard Schlauri, the current General Manager SBS Product
Related Services Germany, will head the organization in Germany.
Both will have a seat on Fujitsu Siemens Computers’ Executive
Council.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers Product Related Services will
retain its key services focus in providing end-to-end platform
solutions, while high-volume product services will continue to be
provided with channel partners.
