Fujitsu Siemens Computers Consumer and Professional products with Microsoft® Windows Vista™

Official delivery starts January 30, 2007
Upgrade program continues through March 31, 2007


Munich/Germany, January 29, 2007 —Siemens Computers, the leading European IT manufacturer and market leader in Germany, will start delivery of its Professional and Consumer products with Microsoft® Windows Vista™ when the new operating system becomes available on January 30, 2007. Windows Vista, the successor of Windows XP, is the new Microsoft operating system for business and home PCs.

Consumer systems with Windows Vista
Starting January 30, all Fujitsu Siemens Computers Consumer systems in the entry, middle and upper price segment will be shipped with Microsoft Windows Vista preinstalled. Together with the new operating system, the Consumer PCs and notebooks, which are partly developed and manufactured in Germany, offer a raft of benefits, including easier switching from one application to another and improved security settings.

Beginning January 30, the Consumer notebooks featuring Microsoft Windows Vista will include the entry-level notebooks of the AMILO L and AMILO P series, the particularly multimedia optimized AMILO X series, and the high-quality design notebooks of the AMILO S series. Also preinstalled with Windows Vista are the entry-level PC SCALEO J, the traditional family PCs SCALEO P and SCALEO H, the top-spec multimedia and gaming PC SCALEO X, and the living-room PC SCALEO EV.

Professional products with Windows Vista
The Fujitsu Siemens Computers' Professional range will also come with Microsoft Windows Vista as of January 30. In addition to improved security functions, the new systems also offer a significant increase in productivity through simplified mobile data access and faster access to frequently used applications.

Windows Vista preinstalled will be offered on the following systems: the ESPRIMO Professional PCs, which are developed and manufactured in Germany, the AMILO Pro and LIFEBOOK professional notebooks and CELSIUS workstations.

For customers who bought a Windows Vista-ready system before March 15, 2007, Fujitsu Siemens Computers offers an upgrade service until March 31, 2007.
