Munich/Germany, March 06, 2007 —This is what every globetrotting manager dreams of: the
freedom to shift important strategy conferences from a stuffy
office to the beach or poolside whenever the sun is shining. Now
Fujitsu Siemens Computers makes this dream come true. The new
LIFEBOOK P7230 not only comes with an integrated ConfCamera for
videoconferences, it also offers integrated UMTS/HSDPA. The simple
but elegant LIFEBOOK P7230 has a 10.6-inch screen and weighing a
mere 1.25 kilos, it can be added to your bathing gear almost
without being noticed. The LIFEBOOK P7230 will be available as of
April 2007 at a price of approximately € 2,999 (e.g. in
Germany, incl. VAT).
The new LIFEBOOK P7230 has been optimized to meet the needs
of business people who spend a lot of their time on the road and
are looking to accommodate as many functions as possible on a
compact, lightweight notebook. To optimize efficiency, they also
need notebooks with long battery lifetimes and fast and
uncomplicated access to the internet.
Battery lifetime: up to one working day
The LIFEBOOK P7230 is the smallest and lightest notebook
equipped with a modular bay currently on the market. Thanks to the
second battery and the integrated Eco Button, the battery lifetime
can be extended to approximately one working day. The Eco Button
can be used, for example, to deactivate optical drives and
simultaneously dim the screen brightness.
Mobile internet access via the LIFEBOOK P7230 is supported by
its integrated WLAN and Bluetooth, as well as by UMTS/HSDPA (as of
this fall, also planned with UMTS/HSUPA). The built-in camera and
the 10.6-inch widescreen with the latest LED background lighting
allows for exceptional videoconferencing capabilities
In addition to outstanding versatility and functionality, the
LIFEBOOK P7230 places special emphasis on style ― both for
the notebook and for the person carrying it. The black magnesium
housing and clear and simple form underscore the compact, elegant
design: the whole unit is smaller than a sheet of A4 paper and not
even three centimeters in height.
