High-availability IT infrastructure for small and
medium-sized enterprises "Business notebooks with integrated
UMTS and ConfCamera for video conferences
Hanover, March 14, 2007 —With an exhibition space of more than 1400m2, Fujitsu Siemens
Computers is again one of the largest exhibitors at CeBIT 2007. The
company is showcasing products and solutions for small and
medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), mobile employees and individual
computer users. Its main stand is located in Hall 1, Booth G51,
where visitors can also experience the "digital home"
close up.
X10sure: High-availability IT infrastructures for SMEs
Peace-of-mind for small and medium-sized businesses through
higher systems availability is a key focus of the new x10sure
solution. Providing simplified, lower-cost high availability than
virtualization or clustering, x10sure delivers enhanced monitoring
and protection for standard Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based
server and disk-storage systems.
Offering small and medium-size businesses near-enterprise
levels of system and application availability, x10sure provides
centralized storage coupled with agent-less server monitoring and
automatic troubleshooting - including automated server shutdown and
reboot, and simple and automated data protection. Frozen
applications are therefore back online automatically within minutes
- no user intervention required.
LIFEBOOK P7230
The new LIFEBOOK P7230 offers integrated UMTS/HSDPA and also
comes with an integrated ConfCamera for video conferences. The
LIFEBOOK P7230 is the smallest and lightest notebook equipped with
a modular bay currently on the market. Thanks to its second battery
and an integrated Eco Button, the battery lifetime can be extended
to approximately one working day. Mobile internet access is
supported by integrated WLAN and Bluetooth, as well as by
UMTS/HSDPA (as of this fall, also planned with UMTS/HSUPA). With an
10.6-inch widescreen display the stylish LIFEBOOK P7230 is smaller
than a sheet of A4 paper and not even three centimeters in height.
The LIFEBOOK P7230 will be available as of April 2007 at a price of
approximately € 2,999 (e.g. in Germany, incl. VAT).
Consumer PCs with Windows Vista
Fujitsu Siemens Computers is already shipping its Consumer
PCs with the new Windows Vista operating system preinstalled.
Together with the new operating system, the AMILO notebooks or
SCALEO desktops on show at CeBIT offer several benefits. For
example, customers can edit, sort and share photos and videos; the
new user interface opens up new perspectives thanks to the 3D,
animated, real-time display of all open files; working becomes
simpler, more manageable and more functional; switching from one
application to another is easier; and security settings have been
improved.
Large-format flat screen displays
The SCALEOVIEW H22-1W provides a 22-inch screen to bring
films, PC games or office applications to life with high quality
displays. Via the built-in video interfaces S-Video and Composite
Video, VCR and VideoCam can be directly connected to the display.
Thanks to the HDMI interface, users can enjoy high-definition
resolutions for set-top boxes, HD-DVD and Blu-ray Disc players. To
coincide with CeBIT, the SCALEOVIEW H22-1W will be available from
specialist dealers for around €499.
SCALEO EV with Follow me TV™
Fujitsu Siemens Computers is introducing the SCALEO EV with
Follow me TV™ functionality at CeBIT 2007. With Follow me TV
, television viewers can mark the programs they are watching
"Follow me TV" and continue watching them - uninterrupted
- on another device in another room. The Follow me TV function is
made possible by a new software, which records television
broadcasts in the background and makes them available from
Universal Plug and Play (UPnP)-enabled TVs or PCs linked via a
wired or wireless local area network (LAN). Follow me TV is already
available on the Fujitsu Siemens Computers ACTIVY Media Center. The
SCALEO EV with Follow me TV will hit the shelves in late summer
2007.
