today launched several new promotional activities to better help
customers realize the benefits of the SAP® Discovery System.
SAP Discovery System provides a range of new and unique features
which facilitate, secure and accelerate the transition from
traditional architecture to the new and exciting world of
enterprise service-oriented architecture (enterprise SOA).
Teaming closely with SAP AG, Fujitsu Siemens Computers has
carried out several promotional activities to support the SAP
Discovery System for eSOA. Having pre-announced hardware support
for the SAP Discovery System at joint events in major European
countries and after hosting a global webinar on the topic of
business responsive IT for eSOA, Fujitsu Siemens Computers and SAP
AG will lead joint workshops during SAPPHIRE® Vienna '07.
Each day, SAP and Fujitsu Siemens Computers will host one session
demonstrating the benefits of SAP Discovery System and eSOA to all
attendees. Companies who want more personalised information can
request exclusive sessions throughout the day.
The joint offering further emphasises the shared vision of
SAP and Fujitsu Siemens Computers for eSOA. The SAP Discovery
System is pre-installed on Fujitsu Siemens Computers´ Primergy
TX300 S3 Series servers. Fujitsu Siemens Computers provides a
unique functionality which allows the system to be reset to factory
pre-installation mode: customers and partners are therefore able to
evaluate business scenarios with original data each time. In this
way, the fully configured system is a hands-on method for
businesses to experience and understand the impact and benefits of
eSOA for their organisation.
Companies will benefit most from the SAP Discovery System
running on Fujitsu Siemens Computers hardware if they attend
specially designed customer workshops held by Fujitsu Siemens
Computers, SAP and local partners. This ensures that businesses
receive professional assistance in order to understand how to get
the most out of the system.
Designed both for demo and training purposes, the system is
ideal for enterprises which often run multiple SAP applications.
Scenarios include a typical procurement business process based on
enterprise services, a number of other business scenarios for
personal productivity and a series of scenarios allowing deeper
analysis of SAP products such as GRC, MDM, RFID etc. It also
eliminates the need for time-consuming and costly assessments
carried out by external expert eSOA consultants. This is an easy
and economical way to start out on the road to a full eSOA
implementation.
