Fujitsu Siemens Computers opens innovation to the online community
Munich, April 29, 2008 —
Fujitsu Siemens Computers is holding an online innovation contest focusing on ‘IT Services for Tomorrow’s Data Center’. The contest, ending June 6 2008, will address issues of strategic business importance to users, helping the leading European IT Infrastructure Provider anticipate which services will be required in the future. The aim is to bring together ideas from interested users, developers, consultants and computer scientists - regardless of how much experience they have - in an original and exciting manner to inspire as many innovations as
possible.
Richard Schlauri, Executive Vice President Infrastructure Services at Fujitsu Siemens Computers and sponsor of this contest, explains, "We see this Innovation Contest not as a one-time initiative, but as an ongoing contribution to our innovation philosophy"
The initial stage of the contest consists of peer evaluation, meaning that participants have the opportunity to interact and evaluate the ideas of others in the innovation community before the final evaluation is made by a team of experts at Fujitsu Siemens Computers. Once all the contributions have been judged, the experts will award prizes to the best ideas, the lucky person who takes first prize receiving
5.000 € in cash! Amongst other prizes are the state-of-the-art LIFEBOOKs Q2010 and P1610.
It cannot be stressed enough, just how important innovation is in the IT industry.

The contest has been created with the help of HYVE AG, a Munich-based consultancy specialized in customer centered innovation who have worked with numerous leading companies in varying industries.
