Selma Kveim, Vice President Channel Business, to leave Fujitsu Siemens Computers

Munich, February 19, 2009 —

Selma Kveim, currently Vice President for Channel Business at Fujitsu Siemens Computers is leaving the company after building up the company’s channel programs over the last seven years.

During the last seven years Fujitsu Siemens Computers’ EMEA channel infrastructure has been revised and developed: the centrepiece has been a reseller database and sell-out system which allows daily inventory reporting and business management. To secure the end user customer satisfaction a training and certification system was developed, “push” programs as well as E-newsletter and Reseller Satisfaction Surveys were also part of the program portfolio. All these programs are connected together with the Select Partner program launched in spring 2008 and deployed across 22 countries.

There are about 20 million small and medium enterprises (SME) in Western Europe. In 2002 the sales strategy was to develop an effective two-tier model with the goal of enhancing efficiency and achieving a faster delivery system to these customers. Today, Fujitsu Siemens Computers has the impressive number of 45,000 active resellers across EMEA and 85% of the overall business is conducted via partnerships. This was achieved through the close cooperation with distribution partners. Distribution programs to secure Return on Capital deploy (ROCE) have been the key focus the last two years and these will continue to secure the partners and Fujitsu Siemens Computers’ own success.

“The achievements over the last seven years are a reflection of the great cooperation between partners, our country organization and HQ sales staff and this is a great platform for the transition to Fujitsu,“ said Selma Kveim, Vice President Channel Business EMEA at Fujitsu Siemens Computers.
