IFA 2009 exclusive: Fujitsu presents brand-new product highlights
First notebooks with multiple touch functions, environmentally friendly monitors and PCs, and gaming fun ‘made4you’
September 04, 2009 —
Under the motto ‘made4you’, Fujitsu presents its product highlights to consumers at the IFA 2009 in Hall 13. In addition to extending its proGREEN selection family with the 0-Watt PC, two other products will enjoy their Berlin premiere: the CELVIN® NAS Server, a network server for multimedia fun on all types of platform; and the LIFEBOOK T4310, Fujitsu’s first notebook with multiple touch functions. The leading IT infrastructure provider has two more highlights on display: the Celsius Ultra – the fastest air-cooled gaming all-round PC – and the AMILO Xi3670 Notebook. The AMILO Xi3670 ensures a wide range of entertainment options with its special accessories such as “Air Command” from Fujitsu EE Control, combining the Wii control functions with those of an "Air Mouse."
“PCs presented at IFA have come from our own development laboratories in Augsburg.” explained Rajat Kakar, Vice President and Head of Clients Group at Fujitsu Technology Solutions. "It is our goal to provide end users with the best products possible; we aim to have state-of-the art technology, high-quality functions, and innovative designs, and above all, to meet our customers’ individual requirements, just like our motto says, ‘made4you’.”
Green meets performance! Green monitors with top-quality images
With its first 0-Watt monitors and 0-Watt-PCs, Fujitsu is the Green IT world leader. The environmentally friendly 0-Watt PC models in the proGREEN Selection do not use any power at all when idle. The result is no wasted energy and no unnecessary costs, helping to protect the environment.
At IFA, Fujitsu also presents displays that provide top-quality images, yet hardly use any power. Based on IPS panel technology (In-plane switching) these displays guarantee optimal image quality and brilliant colors over more than 2.3 million pixels, making these displays ideal for professional image or video processing, HD quality films, games or other applications. Thanks to IPS technology and an ultra-wide viewing angle, you can enjoy perfect pictures whatever the perspective. The monitors can also be connected to various high-resolution image sources, such as PCs or Notebooks, as well as digital set-top boxes, the latest game consoles or photo and video equipment.
Ultimate gaming fun
Gamers' hearts will beat faster when they see the Celsius Ultra, the fastest, air-cooled all-round gaming PC from Fujitsu. It is based on the successful CELSIUS workstation series and comes from the Augsburg development laboratories. Fujitsu took into account gamers’ special requirements, including easy upgrading and investment security. The new gaming flagship only uses high-end components, such as Intel® Core™ i7 975 Extreme Edition, FTS Mainboard D2778-x, 12 GB DDR3 RAM 1333 MHZ quality memory for maximum performance, as well as two Creative Titanium X-Fi sound cards and two EVGA GeForce 295 GTX graphics cards.
The other new product at IFA is the AMILO Xi3670 Notebook. Packaged in a black-red cover, it offers users numerous multimedia functions for comprehensive video and gaming options. In addition to the NVIDIA GeForce GT130M graphics processor, the Notebook also has a HDMI interface to link up to a monitor or TV, a high-resolution display with 16:9 format, integrated Blu-ray drive as well as an integrated webcam (1.3 megapixels). The AMILO Xi3670 Notebook combines the functions of a "Wii Control Panel” and "Air Mouse,” guaranteeing hours of gaming fun with special accessories such as Fujitsu’s "Air Command.” The Gamer Mouse GL 5600 and the HS P2000 Vibra headphones in a corresponding red-black design complete the offer.
A delicate touch: the first notebooks from Fujitsu with multiple touch functions
At IFA, Fujitsu also presents the first notebooks with multiple touch functions: the T4410 and T4310 LIFEBOOKs. These notebooks enable intuitive data input either by hand, multifunctional pen or via handwriting recognition. The twistable display turns the notebook into a flexible tablet PC. State-of-the-art Intel® technology ensures high notebook performance. The LED display and
the Ambient Light Sensor with its automatically adjustable brightness levels
ensure good contrast and better readability outdoors. In addition, these notebooks are ideal for mobile use as they weigh only two kilograms. Integrated 3G/UMTS, WLAN and Bluetooth ensure optimal connectivity. Optional security functions, such as fingerprint recognition, protect the system against non-authorized access – whether you are in the office or travelling.
Music and video streaming – all without a PC
At IFA 2009, Fujitsu presents the CELVIN product range with - for the first time - two high-performance network servers for consumers and small companies. The CELVIN® NAS Server Q600 and the CELVIN® NAS Server Q700 centralize household or company data, making the data available to all devices, whether they are a Windows, Mac or UNIX system. Video gamers will be enthusiastic, as even gaming consoles such as the X-Box 360 or Sony PS 3 can stream videos via the CELVIN NAS Server. The devices can also be used as backup, printer or file server. Fujitsu offers a special data backup concept with many setting features.
A stylish mini PC
Another highlight on display at IFA is the ESPRIMO Q1500, a new mini PC in an unusual design. Thanks to the decorative housing, this small yet fully equipped PC has all the top functions along with an attractive design. Equipped with state-of-the-art Intel® Centrino Mobile technology, as well as numerous multimedia functions, it meets all the Desktop PC requirements and is simultaneously an ideal home entertainer. Whether you are surfing the Internet, listening to music, or watching HD quality videos, the ESPRIMO Q1500 is suitable for a wide range of applications both at home or in the office. Furthermore, its energy consumption is particularly low and it is very quiet.
