Fujitsu offers LIFEBOOK T5010 with optional multiple touch functions

Now Fujitsu customers can choose to get their LIFEBOOK T5010 with either dual digitizer or active digitizer

Munich, September 24, 2009 —

Fujitsu today announces that the company now offers a dual digitizer version of the LIFEBOOK T5010, in addition to the successful LIFEBOOK T5010 with active digitizer.

Customers already appreciate the original LIFEBOOK T5010 with active digitizer due to its patented multifunctional pen that offers accuracy, pressure sensitivity, rubber function and left/right mouse buttons located on the pen. Now customers can also choose the LIFEBOOK T5010 with dual digitizer, combining the elements of the active digitizer with Fujitsu’s new developed TouchScreen for finger-gesture touch. Thanks to this dual digitizer technology, LIFEBOOK T5010 enables intuitive data input by automatically recognizing if you have your active pen or finger near the detection-range of the dual digitizer (at the front of the display) and acts as either an active digitizer or TouchScreen. In addition, the Windows 7 Touch technology supporting dual-digitizer allows multiple touch, recognizing two touch points at the same time.

Fujitsu only recently announced the launch of two new Tablet PC models, the LIFEBOOK T4310 and the LIFEBOOK T4410, with dual digitizer to support multiple touch functions. These models will be available with Windows 7 at the end of October this year. By offering the LIFEBOOK T5010 now with either dual digitizer or active digitizer, Fujitsu continues to provide notebooks and PCs to meet every user’s unique requirements. The dual digitizer version of the Centrino vPRO certified LIFEBOOK T5010 is available immediately.
