Retail Solutions in detail

Multi-ChannelFujitsu Retail Solutions
Fujitsu is working with retailers to provide their customers with a joined up shopping experience across channels – the store, the web, mobile or call centre. Fujitsu will be demonstrating its ‘click ‘n’ collect’ multi-channel solution designed to make shopping more convenient for customers and more cost-effective to deliver for retailers. Shoppers can order at home or on the mobile – select, reserve and pay for their items – and then pick up in store at a pre-scheduled time. Fujitsu will demonstrate the customer-facing and operational processes and the supporting systems architecture it has designed to deliver this added value multi-channel solution.

Fujitsu’s solution is embedded in a SOA-based systems architecture which enables retailers to add and remove a range of customer-facing cross-channel solutions without having to re-architect and re-build their core back office IT model.

Biometrics
Biometrics is the automated recognition of individuals based on their biological and behavioural characteristics.

This may be used for customer or citizen identification, access control, electronic point of sale or system log in. The use of Biometrics involves confirming the identity of an input sample when compared to a pre-registered template. Fujitsu provides a full range of products and services in biometrics and identity management, including: hardware devices, systems integration, applications development, infrastructure deployment, service management and a full range of maintenance services for these functions.

Mobile Clienteling and PaymentMobile Clienteling and Payment
Fujitsu will be presenting its new mobile retail ‘clienteling’ solution, developed in collaboration with salesforce.com. The solution is designed to provide shoppers and sales associates with real time information to make shopping easier, more personalised and more connected across channels; the business benefits are a more satisfying shopping experience for the customer and higher sales conversion for the retailer.

  • clienteling strategies help retailers create a dynamic view of the customer that is shaped by in-store as well as real-time online and social media interactions.
  • the solution combines the clienteling solutions from Salesforce, a leading enterprise cloud computing provider, with the retail IT, business process and services expertise of Fujitsu.
  • retailers can build fully networked enterprises that will meet the needs of the retail organisation and its customers in real time.

Self Service
In the drive to compete effectively retailers need to find new and more cost-effective ways to inform and communicate with their customers on a one-to-one basis, while also opening up new revenue opportunities that would be too costly to exploit using traditional sales channels.
Fujitsu specialises in providing customised, end-to-end interactive kiosk solutions designed specifically to meet the needs of your business.

We offer a full service package - from initial design, through software and hardware development, deployment and network integration to ongoing operation and maintenance - and provide the most flexible, reliable and cost-effective kiosk solutions available today. Our open architecture and strategic partnerships with other blue-chip vendors also mean that our customers have a choice of suppliers for their system components.

Checkout (Manned and Unmanned)

  • Flexible manned and unmanned options
  • Small footprint

Self Checkout
Self Check OutBecause your retail business is ever-changing, the Fujitsu Self Check Out (SCO) family has been designed to provide a small footprint, modular and flexible architecture that makes it simple—and cost effective—for you to take advantage of future feature upgrades and make changes to your store’s layout. Fujitsu SCO protects your self check out investment unlike any other solution on the market today.

The Fujitsu SCO family incorporates significant design improvements that make self-checkout simpler, more intuitive and faster for shoppers. Graphical user interface improvements such as larger, more appealing screen visuals and the integration of a familiar consumer market design provides shoppers with an easy checkout experience resulting in decreased attendant intervention.

In the Fujitsu Genesis, all cash and coin accepting and dispensing is located together above the scanner, which speeds up the transaction process and reduces the likelihood of customers leaving money behind. The bill acceptor features accuracy and acceptance rates up to two times faster than other solutions on the market, while the completely redesigned bill dispenser significantly reduces bill jams — the most common service and maintenance issue.

  • Multiple combinations to satisfy volume and space requirements
  • Cash and card, card only options
  • Cash recycling

ScanExpress
This leading self scanning solution adds a new dimension of convenience to the customers shopping experience. Scanning and packing the items directly from the shop floor allows for a faster, more relaxed checkout experience for the shopper, as there is no need to unload, scan and repack the items at the checkout. This solution has become a popular option for customers, as well, the retailers benefit from the reduced pressure on the checkouts, increased loyalty and customer satisfaction.

TP-X II PoS Hardware
The TP-X II 500 Series point-of-sale (PoS) controller family is designed for retailers that require powerful performance, flexibility and connectivity in a more environmentally sustainable retailing platform. The highly configurable third release of the successful TP-X II PoS controller incorporates 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i3, i5 and Pentium® processors, delivering the power of a desktop computer in a very small form factor. Using this technology, the retail-hardened TP-X II 500 Series controllers run cooler and consume less power, increasing reliability while reducing costs. Configurable with up to 14 powered USB ports, the TP-X II eliminates the need for power bricks, further increasing reliability while providing the connectivity retailers need to meet the evolving demands of today’s shoppers.
